NOVAROOF ACRYLIC
Acrylic waterproofing roof coating
Acrylic flat roof liquid waterproofing membrane. It adheres strongly to surfaces and creates a seamless elastic protective membrane, resistant to weather conditions, intense temperature changes and ultraviolet solar (UV) radiation. With crack bridging properties, it is classified according to EN 1504-2 as a coating for surface protection of concrete. Apply first PLANOPRIMER to ease the application or PLANOFINISH® CH in cases that the substrate requires consolidation.

Substrate preparation:
It is of the utmost importance that cementitious substrates are compact and free from dust, salts, grease and any other materials that could impair the adhesion of NOVAROOF® ACRYLIC. If the application is made on absorbent substrates such as concrete or cement mortars at high temperatures, it is essential to apply a coat of PLANOPRIMER primer beforehand. In the case of highly absorbent or highly porous surfaces, we recommend applying one coat of NOVAROOF® ACRYLIC as a primer. To do so, dilute the material with water in a ratio of 3 parts NOVAROOF® ACRYLIC to 1 part water, stirring the mixture until it becomes uniform. The product should then be applied using a coarse-bristle roller or brush.
Preparation of the mix:
Mix with an electric mixer at low speed to homogenize the mixture. The mixture is ready to use.
Application:
The material must be applied to a suitably prepared surface by brush, roller or airless spraying in at least two layers. The second coat should be applied at a right angle to the first after a minimum of 24 hours. It is essential that the application is thorough and even across the entire surface. Each previous coat must be allowed to cure fully before moving on to the next. In areas of particular importance, such as floor joints with vertical surfaces, it is advisable to reinforce the waterproofing zone with waterproofing tape. To waterproof local cracks, apply the material over the crack and, once the waterproofing tape is in place, proceed with successive layers of NOVAROOF® ACRYLIC.
Recommendations:
- Apply only upon structurally stable and well-prepared substrate
- Do not apply in ambient temperatures less than +5°C and higher than +35°C
- Protect the application surface from rain or frost during the installation and curing period
- Avoid injury to the coating
- Unsuitable for permanent or prolonged immersion in water. Areas where water pools must first be properly repaired with repair mortars
- It is recommended that the surface be inspected annually for possible damage that may have been caused by accidental impact of objects or misuse
Cleaning:
Tools, buckets, etc. can be cleaned with fresh and clean water if NOVAROOF® ACRYLIC is still fresh. After hardening occurs, cleaning can take place by mechanical means.
